Rust is another game that was released years ago to make its way into the spotlight. Originally released for early access in 2013 by developer Facepunch Studios, a video game designer, Garry Newman, shared that they made $1 million on two different days in the same week. Huge streamers, such as Pokimane and Shroud, have been streaming Rust which has directly helped with the exposure of the game. Due to the increase of players, Facepunch Studios created seven new servers for the game. Also on January 7, Rust released big update for the game as well that includes Twitch Drops and more.
Rust is a multiplayer-only survival-based game that allows players to use voice chat to interact with others on the server. Since its comeback, Rust has been putting up amazing numbers: 1.7 million game launches on January 7 as well as 4.9k servers online, and 799,321 Twitch Drops earned. In their latest update, Rust introduced Twitch Drops for streamers. Big streamers like Jacksepticeye, Ludwig, Shroud, Pokimane, and Sykkuno have been working with Rust to come up with their unique drops. By watching their Rust streams, you can earn these items.
With their January 7 update, Rust has been able to add various updates. Some of the biggest patches are modular turrets, electric heaters, night vision goggles, elevators, and more. Facepunch has also launched Rust+ which is the “Official Rust companion app” where players can stay connected. With the app, players would be able to maintain communication with their team, set off traps, and be alerted when your camp is being raided. This app is available on the Apple store as well as Google Play. Rust is available on Stream for $26.79 with the current sale and they also offer packs for purchase.
