Rumor: Persona 4 Golden Might be Coming to PC Through Steam Later This Week

It looks like Atlus’s big announcement for the PC Gaming Show has been let out of the bag. Thanks to some internet sleuthing, and SteamDB Page that clearly shows a well known banner, the classic JRPG Persona 4 Golden might be coming to PC through Steam. In addition to this, and according to Gematsu and their sources, the game will also be shadow released onto the platform right after its reveal later this week.

Gematsu states that thanks to “multiple sources,” the game will release immediately following the reveal for PC, and for the time being, only through Steam. Prior to this, news of the PC iteration was leaked through numerous twitter accounts, most of which have either removed the posts or stated that they cannot speculate further. This has only further fueled the rumor that the leak is in fact genuine. There was also a Denuvo support page for the game that was discovered, although it has since been removed and now links to 404 not found page. Due to the history of PC gamers and the implementation of Denuvo, it’s possible that it will become a contentious situation in the PC gaming community.

Regardless of how Atlus and Sega handle this, just the thought finally being able to play one of the most enjoyable JRPG’s of all time on PC is extremely exciting. For those who don’t know, Persona 4 Golden is a re-release of the 2008 PlayStation 2 title Persona 4. This version, which launched for the PS Vita in 2012, enhances every single aspect of the game, including a much smoother progression system, a simplified Persona Fusion Calculator, two additional Social Links, and an expanded story arc.

It’s important to note that while all of this is very exciting to see, it’s all just conjecture at this point. We’ll have to wait on either Atlus or Sega to make any kind of statement, but we’re more than likely looking at the PC Gaming Show for the official reveal. The PC Gaming Show will take place this Saturday at 11:00 am PST/2:00 pm EST. You can watch the stream right here on our website when it goes live!
