Route 59 Announced That Necrobarista Will Be Delayed

Route 59 announced that “due to unforeseen circumstances”, their upcoming visual narrative adventure game, Necrobarista, will be experiencing a slight delay in its 2019 release. Originally planned for August 8th, the game is said to be slightly pushed back in its Q3 launch. The team took to Twitter to share the announcement.

Route 59 also posted an update to the game’s Steam Store page to further explain some of the reasoning for the delay.

We understand that it’s a little disappointing to see a delay this close to launch, but the game will be a whole lot better for it – promise. We’ll share more details about our release date as soon as we can, and rest assured – there are more exciting announcement incoming.

In the post, along with some other exciting future announcements, Route 59 also revealed that the additional polish time will allow the game to be supported in fourteen new languages: English, French (& Canadian French), Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, and Dutch.

Necrobarista will be playable for PC players through the Steam Store and Playism. Even with the delay, the game is still expected to celebrate its launch this year, although a new official date has not been revealed. For those excited for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions, rest assured, the team mentions that the launch for the console is still expected for 2020.
