Players will also select from a roster of Greek heroes such as Hector, Brontes the Cyclops, Pythia the oracle, and Alectryon.
In a release from Dark Point Games they share that “Each character boasts a unique skillset to challenge players to master different gameplay styles.” Players will elevate themselves from ‘hero’ to ‘God of destruction’ as they level and gain abilities and team stats can be increased between runs. Achilles: Survivor features building mechanics in that players can expand their arsenal with traps and fortifications, players can also build defensive structures and healing shrines. Dark Point games promises that Achilles: Survivor features “hundreds of enemy types” in different biomes. Players will earn treasures between runs to unlock permanent upgrades and characters.
Dark Point Games launched Achilles: Survivor into Early Access with the clear mindset to collaborate with the community, shaping it with that feedback. Given this goal, they have aimed to create a refined experience for the full 1.0 release, which will launch later this year alongside consoles. Since Dark Point Games has been able to focus on crafting a superior player experience, fans may be in for a treat later this year.
