Rogue-Like Game, Hades, Announced at the Game Awards

In yet another World Premiere at the Game Awards, following right after the announcement of Far Cry New Dawn, was Hades, a new project from Supergiant Games, the makers of Bastion and Transistor. The new game draws on ancient Greek mythology, particularly the Underworld. In what appears to be a similar rogue-like style akin to Dead Cells, death is not the end of the journey, merely the beginning. As the trailer put it, “There is no escape,” and dying lands you right back home at Dad’s place.

Hades is available right now for $19.99 as an Early Access game through the Epic Games website. Take on the creatures of the Underworld as the son of a god, utilizing a multitude of different powers and weapons. Interact with such notable icons as Zeus as you traverse the Underworld looking for the out your father claims does not exist.
