Rockstar Pushes Back GTA V PC Release Date

Another setback for Grand Theft Auto V on PC was announced this week when Rockstar pushed back the January release date to March 24th. Players of this highly anticipated game have been waiting over a year for its release, but developers assure the delay was for good cause.

GTA V has been noted to be one of the best selling games of all times, but launch days were not always met with a resounding reception. For both original and rereleased versions, numerous problems plagued the early days of GTA V’s release so it is not surprising that Rockstar is taking extra precaution for its PC launch. As stated on Rockstar Newswire,

“Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans.”

The PC version will support 30 player lobbies, online Heists, run at 60fps, 1080p, and up to 4K resolution. For details on minimum and recommended specs please visit Rockstar Newswire.

Also Rockstar has offered several perks for those who choose to pre-order the PC game digitally or in-store. A $1,000,000 in-game bonus will be available for story mode and GTA Online. The bonus will be divided in half with $500,000 going to each mode. If you pre-order the digital version from the Rockstar warehouse you will receive one PC download for free, along with an additional $300,000 for use on GTA Online. These offers are only available between now and February 1st.

Hopefully this will be the last setback for PC users, because GTA V is definitely a great game to have in your collection. Please visit Rockstar’s website for more details.
