It’s looking more and more likely that a Red Dead Redemption remake/remaster is coming. Last month, the game was rated in Korea. Now, Twitter user and Rockstar Insider TezFunz2 noticed that the Rockstar Games website was updated with a new version of the Red Dead Redemption logo.
Rockstar’s new site update, live an hour ago, added a new reference within the games list.

This new version comes with the branding of Rockstar Games Presents. This brings it in line with other Rockstar titles that feature the same branding. Some are speculating that it could just be a simple update to keep the branding the same but there has been evidence that a remake/remaster is coming.
Rumors of a remaster for Red Dead Redemption popped up last year when TezFunz2 leaked information that there were plans for a remaster for both Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto IV but the plans were shelved following the poor launch of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. It was reported that Rockstar could potentially remaster both titles in the future. Last month, the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea published a new rating for Red Dead Redemption. This is separate from the original version of the game and the classification number refers to console games.
Rockstar Games has yet to make an official statement or announcement on the matter but with this new update to the internal games list on its website, it seems to be only a matter of time. Rockstar Games is currently still hard at work on Grand Theft Auto VI which was leaked last year in a major way with 50 minutes of footage making its way online. A rumor earlier this year suggested that the game might get released as earlier as next year.
As it is with everything Rockstar Games related, we’ll have to wait and see.
