The first trailer for the hotly anticipated GTA VI was released early following it leaking on to X, formerly known as Twitter, Monday evening.
The trailer showcases only a minuscule amount of GTA VI‘s plot, including its first-ever female protagonist Lucia and her unnamed male partner. Additionally, the trailer revealed graphically upgraded Vice City, but according to the press release, GTA VI might let players venture out farther into Leonida, the state where Vice City calls home.
The X account responsible for the initial leak was terminated shortly after the uploading leaked trailer. GTA VI has seen other major leaks in it’s devoplemt including last year’s leak where about 90 videos of in-development footage was uploaded.

“Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences,” said Houser. “We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.”
GTA VI is set to release sometime in 2025 and confirmed for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
