Rise and Fall: Hush Agent Trailer

Hush will be the thirty first agent to appear in Valorant‘s lineup, following the debut of Miks this past March. As demonstrated in the Rise and Fall Agent Trailer, “Chinese operative Hush” fights “with precision and finesse, [redirecting] her combat utility in midair to disrupt and displace the enemy team before suspending them helplessly for the killing blow” while simultaneously answering phone calls from her mother. Several fans gathered in the comment section to praise Riot’s characterization of Hush, saying that “giving Hush full Cantonese dialogue instead of a generic accent makes the whole trailer feel grounded,” and remarking that “the Cantonese mum nagging is too accurate.”

Hush Official Gameplay Reveal

This trailer, released on October 27, gave fans a preview of what the gameplay experience might look like for Hush. As teased in her agent trailer, Hush can use telekinesis to “pick up weapons and interact with switches from an increased range.” Additionally, her four other abilities consist of Flashbulb, Displacement, Flow, and Suspension.”

Hush’s Flashbulb ability has four basic commands for players to learn: Equip, Fire, meaning throw, Alt Fire, to save for later but still be prepared, and Reactivate to “direct it towards your crosshair.” Flashbulb  “explodes on any surface or after a delay, flashing all players looking at it.” Currently, it is listed as a Basic Ability exclusive to Hush.

Displacement uses commands identical to Flashbulb. Instead of being a basic ability, Displacement is listed as one of Hush’s Signature Abilities. It “explodes on any surface or after a delay, pulling all players towards the center and concussing them if they collide with any surface or another player, [along with resetting] every two kills.”

Another Basic Ability, Flow is used to “instantly create an anchor. If Hush is in the air, [she is able to] briefly levitate in place. After a delay, [players are instructed to] propel towards it.”

Hush’s Ultimate Ability, Suspension, not only levitates Hush, but also effectively levitates all other players. To use Suspension, players can fire to send it forward, steering with [their] crosshair.” They can then choose between “reactivat[ing] or press[ing] fire again to detonate.”
