Lou’s Lagoon came to town August 27th. The new archipelago revival game, whose developers are noted on Steam as Tiny Roar and Publishers, Megabit Publishing as well as rokaplay, launched with a Trailer which shows the player helping “Limbo Archipelago” while “Uncle Lou” is gone.
The Trailer starts off showing horrible weather with rain and tornados. The player’s helicopter flies straight through it, getting to Limbo Archipelago. The trailer gives a full view of Limbo Archipelago with its massive greenery, fun building shapes and a wealth of bright colors. The crazy weather seems to have hit the Archipelago hard and the trailer shows a broken plane as proof. As such, the inhabitants need the player to restore the Archipelago. The player sets off, through the forest, swimming through the water,and climbing vines before appearing at the Archipelago square. The trailer shows dialogue lines, and animal looking character hybrids who serve as the people of the town. The player goes around running, climbing and flying through the archipelago, they use a tool called the “swirler” to suction items like food and materials. It seems to have the ability to build as well, as it creates a bridge out of wood.
The Trailer continues showing the player setting up a type of power system, flying a plane and sailing through the sky. They avoid sea monsters, fish in lakes and meet pirate looking residents who’re ready to fight. The trailer shows a few villagers, the player flying round the tornado, assures players that they’ll be quite busy in the game, and shows a person upgrading the swirler, for the players’ use. It teases robots, a restaurant and lunches with friends, as well as the ability to make a customizable “home.” There’s a bunch of scenes of the Archipelago and places to explore, before the trailer teases a glowing rock thing that seems to hint at something, or maybe someone considering Uncle Lou, in the sky.
