One of the most glaring omissions from the Resident Evil 4 remake is being brought back as an expansion for the game. Capcom has announced Resident Evil 4 Remake: Separate Ways, which will contain the famous Ada Wong campaign from the original Resident Evil 4, as well as some potential changes in the narrative. The company also released a trailer, which shows Ada going through the infamous hallway of lasers, as well as using her trademark hookshot.
The Amber has been located, but to what lengths will Ada go to complete her mission?

In the trailer we see Ada traversing through the horrifying terrain of the plague ridden Valdelobos, using her hookshot to reach areas that Leon Kennedy would not be able to during his main campaign. She can also use her handy tool to take weapons and shields away from enemies, as well as closing the gap in order for her to enact some martial arts on them. In addition to this new campaign, the title will also receive an update to the Resident Evil 4’s Mercenaries mode, which will add Ada Wong and Albert Wesker as playable characters.
The trailer also hints that Ada is infected with the Plaga, the physical manifestation of the current iteration of the Resident Evil outbreak virus. This was not the case in the original 2005 release, as Ada was not infected in any way whatsoever. Either way, we’re very excited to have this almost-forgotten-about campaign return to the remake version of the title, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it later this week.
Resident Evil 4 Remake: Separate Ways will launch later this week on Thursday, September 21, 2023, and will cost $9.99.
