A little less than a month ago, we reported that there was a Resident Evil 3 Remake demo on the way. Capcom has finally unveiled the specifics of this as they announced that the demo will arrive on March 19, which is just a couple of days away! In addition, the company also revealed that an open beta for the multiplayer portion of the game, Resident Evil Resistance, will take place on March 27, just one week later.
The demo will allow players to step into the shoes of one of the game’s main protagonists, Jill Valentine, as she attempts to help out the citizens of Racoon City along with her in-game partner Carlos Oliveira. Of course, you’ll be hunted down by the famous, or infamous, Nemesis monster that has given multiple people nightmares already. On top of that, the demo will also consist of a scavenger hunt. 20 Charlie statuettes are hidden around the level for you to locate. For those who complete the demo, you’ll unlock an exclusive trailer that won’t be available anywhere else.
As for the Resident Evil Resistance open beta, it will have one of the four Masterminds, Daniel Fabron, who creates insane experiments such as bioweapons and traps to foil the players. You’ll be able to play as four of the six survivors and try to escape his series of deadly challenges. The open beta will officially end on April 3, the release day for Resident Evil 3 Remake. Fans have been eagerly anticipating this game ever since it was announced in Sony’s final State of Play 2019. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long to get our hands on it, even sooner for the demo.
Resident Evil 3 Remake launches on April 3 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The official demo arrives on March 19, while the open beta for Resident Evil Resistance begins on March 27.
