Earlier this week it was announced by Telltale Games that it would be removing many of their popular titles from the Apple App Store. As reported here on the website, Telltale says the removal of the games is due to issues with the most recent iOS update. Most of these are technical issues, but they were harsh enough to warrant removal from the App Store. Telltale joins a growing list of publishers that are removing their products from the Apple App Store.
Publisher’s like 2K Games and Capcom are among the other publishers to suffer in what is being called “Appocalypse” by many of the gamer’s who have lost the ability to purchase games from the iOS app store. While many of the publishers have said that the removal of these games is a temporary solution the issue with iOS is a growing one.
Right now the list of games removed from the iOS App Store include:
- Back to the Future
- Jurassic Park
- Tales of Monkey Island
- Bioshock
- Ghost Trick
- Strong Bad
Again the removal of the games is a temporary one, but should the problem consist with future iOS updates it will damage the mobile gaming realm of the iOS App Store.
