Remothered: Broken Porcelain Release Gets Delayed Until October

The release for the highly anticipated game Remothered: Broken Porcelain (the sequel to the widely loved horror game Remothered: Tormented Fathers) has been delayed until late October of 2020. The game, which was supposed to be released in August of this year, is facing alleged complications due to the strain the COVID-19 pandemic put on the game developers (although in their initial announcement there is no given reason for the delay). As community manager of Modus Games Luke Croft says, the game has been delayed in order to “deliver the experience players deserve” and ” Give the opportunity to have additional time dedicated to polishing and accomodating unanticipated longer timeframes due to the current global situation.”

Remothered: Broken Porcelain’s predecessor was developed by Modus Games and Chris Darril, and was launched in 2018 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 (and Nintendo Switch earlier this year). Remothered: Tormented Fathers tells the story of an investigator who works to uncover the mystery of missing girl who goes by the name of Celeste. In the sequel (Broken Porcelain), the players are playing as a young woman as they try to escape from the Ashmann Inn. As she is trying to escape, she must avoid those that are chasing her, along with the supernatural elements and spirits that reside in the Inn as well. The Steam listing for the newest entry describes it as a “realistic survival horror” and a “thrilling story with a heavy psychological plot”.

With the disappointing news of the delay, there are many people (and even Mordus Games themselves) pointing out that this horror game will arrive just in time for Halloween, and give people the scares they want without having to leave their homes. Once the game finally reaches its intended release date, it will be available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
