According to a business report for Q1 of 2024, Remedy looks to be ramping up production for various titles that will be releasing in the coming years. There was a variety of information released in regards to progress of projects and sales of the past year, of which Alan Wake 2 has officially passed over 1.3 million unit sales as of February 2024. Remedy last released another business report last year that detailed the progression of Control 2, and the Max Payne remakes, and according to the newest reports, those upcoming titles look to be picking up even more steam than before.
Control is still one of Remedys most ambitious and successful games as of yet, and its sequel Control 2 was announced in 2022. Now the Control team is happy to announce that the project is officially focused on finalizing the proof-of-concept stage, which means that the overall look and feel of the game is reaching its final stages and the team is looking to get into the official production readiness stage in Q2 of this year. This process was most likely heavily delayed due to Remedy not fully owning the IP of Control up until February of this year when they acquired the full rights from 505 Games, who published the title.
Another major title that fans have been heavily anticipating is the Max Payne remakes, which has since been announced that the two games will be made into one for their upcoming remake. The title is still in the production readiness stage, so not much has changed, but it is slated to enter full production alongside Control 2 this upcoming Q2.
The third major title spoken of in this business report is Remedy’s multiplayer shooter that still has no title or any sort of information released on it. Since October’s Business report, all we have known is that the title is still in the concept phase, and that has not changed at all as it is still in concept. This title will probably release after the two aforementioned games in progress so not much information will be available for some time.
