Refund Policy For Warcraft 3: Reforged Changed

The remastered version of Warcraft III: Reign Of Chaos, Warcraft III: Reforged has been out for about a week now and according to the Blizzard support page, the company has decided to change its refund policy. It is possible that the reason for this is due to fan criticism of the game and its low scores on Metacritic, Gamestar, and PC Gamer (US). This can be supported by Blizzard’s statement that “Blizzard stands by the quality of our products and our services. Normally we set limits for refund availability on a game, based on time since purchase and whether it has been used. However, we want to give players the option of a refund if they feel that Warcraft III: Reforged does not provide the experience they wanted. So, we’ve decided to allow refunds upon request for the time being.”

This means that players will be able to go to the refund page and request refund for the game right now. According to IGN, the game has been heavily criticized by fans due to a number of reasons including the comparison between what was promised back in 2018 and the launch version including how the cutscenes in the launch edition don’t have the cinematic camera shown back in 2018. Some players have also been reporting connectivity issues while other players are angered by the change in the End User License Agreement allowing Blizzard to have all ownership rights over any custom games made in Warcraft III: Reforged.

Other than the change in refund policy, Blizzard has also received a new addition to their team with Rod Fergusson, the head of Coalition in order to oversee the Diablo Franchise. No new information is available regarding Warcraft III: Reforged at this time but it is likely that more information will be revealed soon.
