Red Dead Redemption II Coming To Xbox Game Pass Next Month On May 7

At the beginning of this year, Microsoft and Rockstar Games took everyone by surprise by announcing that Grand Theft Auto V was available for Xbox Game Pass. Grand Theft Auto Online was also included. Today, the latest Rockstar Games title, Red Dead Redemption II was announced to be coming soon to Xbox Game Pass. The game will be available to play on May 7.

It should be noted that the game will be for console only and is not available to install on PC via Xbox Game Pass. As noted by Microsoft, Red Dead Redemption II, one of mxdwn’s top 50 games of the decade won over 175 Game of the Year Awards and is a recipient of over 250 perfect scores.

The game has players in the shoes of Arthur Morgan, one of the top members in the Van der Linde gang as they struggle to evade federal agents and the best bounty hunters across the rugged heartland of America. It’s an epic tale of honor and loyalty at the dawn of the modern age.

In addition, the game will come with additional story content, photo mode and like Grand Theft Auto V for Game Pass including access to Grand Theft Auto Online, Red Dead Redemption II for Xbox Game Pass will come with free access to Red Dead Online which has received a host of updates since it was first released in Beta. The most recent update introduced the Moonshiner role that players can choose to play. Roles were introduced in the update, Frontier Pursuits. Other roles that players can choose from include Bounty Hunter, Trader, and Collector.

As Red Dead Redemption II comes to Xbox Game Pass next month, Microsoft announced that Grand Theft Auto V will be leaving the service on May 7. If players wish to continue playing, they can use their membership discount to purchase the game at a 20% discount.
