Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege has had a rocky past couple of months in terms of player and developer communication, but the team behind R6 is still delivering with their seasonal events. In October we had the return of the iconic Doctor’s Curse seasonal event for Halloween that included the returning game mode plus brand new freaky cosmetics. This time around for Rainbow Six Siege’s winter event, they have created a brand new mode titled Freeze For All. In past years the Christmas time mode has been more joyous but this time around it’s more on the scary side. The mode takes place after the collaboration with Dead By Daylight that included two new cosmetic bundles for Finka and Kapkan. The mode takes place on an Arctic workshop map, which is just a reworked version of Hereford Base.
The limited-time mode is a free-for-all mode, hence the play on words, between ten players. The mode also includes 5 separate classes including monstrous melee classes. The 5 classes will include various already existing operator abilities such as Remah Dash, Throwing knives, and the previously mentioned monster mode that is melee only with 700 health. Once killed players will respawn and be trapped on the roof where they are only allowed to throw snowballs at other players until the round is finished. You earn points from both damaging and killing players so death is not the end.
Another one of the major additions to this game mode is the brand-new cosmetics for the mode. Siege players know by now that half of the excitement of new seasonal modes is the inclusion of brand-new and returning cosmetics. Three operators are getting brand new theme outfits and weapon skins, those being Ace, Flores, and Jager. They are depicted as these frozen demon-like wendigos. With as mentioned returning Christmas bundles for operators such as Black Beard, Dokkabei, and Ying. Players have the chance to acquire all these cosmetics and play the brand-new mode until January 5th.
