From the developers behind the popular fantasy roguelike game, Below, comes colorful puzzle-battler entitled Grindstone. This title was actually released on Apple Arcade in September of 2019 before being followed a year later by a release on the Nintendo Switch but, for those who enjoy gaming on a bigger screen, it is coming to PC next week.
Grindstone is a puzzle-battler where players will attempt to create combos by slicing through enemies on a 7×7 board. As players beat each level, they move up Grindstone Mountain where they will face new enemies with their own unique abilities as well as challenging boss fights. There are over two hundred levels to battle through as well as valuable loot and blueprints for powerful gear to find on the way up the mountain. A quick look at the gameplay offered can be glimpsed in the trailer below.
The PC version will include all the past game updates, including the one from today which added something called Fortune Grind. This is a new version of Daily Grind where players are able to spin a wheel of fortune which could have multiple outcomes on the game mode by either making it more difficult by adding additional enemies or easier by rewarding players with helpful items. This update also added in some more general content like ten new levels and new Slop House recipes. Fortune Grind is currently available on all versions as of today, May 14.
Grindstone is currently available on Nintendo Switch for reduced price of $14.99 as well as on the Apple Arcade. It will be releasing for PC on May 20 via the Epic Games Store.
