With just a week remaining before the November 10th launch date of the new PlayStation Pro, many gamers are wondering what games they’d be able to play that will make use of the reportedly higher resolution. The new PS4 will bring a significantly better CPU and GPU, HDR technology, and 4K support.
If you’ve already placed an order for your new PS4 or a waiting for some black Friday deal or holiday deals in December, you’ve probably wondered which games the PS4 will be taking advantage of the new tech their console will have by launch day. Well, according to Gamespot, this morning the European PlayStation Blog released a list of the nearly 40 titles that will optimized on day one of PS4’s launch date. Sony promises that by the end of the year, they will have more than 45 titles on that list, including the upcoming games Watch Dogs 2, The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy 15.
Sony will continue to support optimization for titles into next year, which the blog posting makes sure to point out that Nioh, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and For Honor will all be getting the optimization when they are released in early 2017. By mid to late 2017, however, the blog only noted that optimization of first-party games like Gravity Rush 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone and Gran Turismo Sport.
Some of the biggest titles that will be optimize-ready by the first day the PS4 comes out are Battlefield 1, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, RIGS Mechanized Combat League, and The Last of Use Remastered.
