Are you a PC gamer who wants to play God of War 3 without having to shell out cash for a PlayStation? Then you’re in luck! According to an article from DSOGaming, Sony has recently announced that PS4 games are now available for PC through PlayStation Now, Sony’s cloud gaming service.
Needless to say, many PC gamers are excited about the prospect of getting their hands on current console exclusives, but just because they’re coming to PC doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll look or run any better than on console. PlayStation Now doesn’t offer any visual or performance upgrades, and instead focuses on recreating the original feeling of playing on its native console, right down to making the original DualShock controllers necessary to play on PC.
The first PS4 titles available through PlayStation Now include major hits such as Killzone Shadow Fall, God of War 3 Remastered, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, WWE 2K16, and many more. There are also some lesser known and kind of questionable titles included in the service, such as Castlestorm Definitive Edition, Nidhogg, and Super Mega Baseball. These titles aren’t necessarily bad, but they’ve already been available for PC gamers for quite a long time now, and they seem like strange picks when compared to other, more popular PS4 titles like Gravity Rush or the recent Horizon Zero Dawn.
Still, the opportunity to try out God of War 3 and Killzone Shadow Fall should be enough to entice some PC gamers to pay for PlayStation Now.
In addition to the new games on offer, Sony has brought back the introductory offer of $9.99 for the first month to new subscribers, as well as the one-year subscription fee of $99.99.
