Prince Of Persia The Lost Crown Post Launch Road Map Revealed

Earlier today we got some surprise news that the year’s first major release, Prince Of Persia The Lost Crown, will actually be getting a plethora of post-launch content. Said content to be released in quarters throughout the year, eventually culminating in a full-blown game expansion coming at the end of 2024. Considering this isn’t only one of the best games released this year thus far, and arguably one of the best metroidvanias ever, its truly incredible to think that Ubisoft Montpellier is giving players yet another reason to come back to Mount Qaf. This was completely unexpected as players assumed that the success of the title would warrant a sequel, which is still in the cards, but a full-blown content roadmap is incredible.

There is no update of the Prince of Persia Sands of Time remake at the moment, which is honestly fine as there have been many changes in its development. Hopefully, the conclusion of the roadmap will lead to a sequel of Lost Crown, or straight into The Sands Of Time.

The first set of additions launches this month, with a brand new speedrun and permadeath mode being added to the game for the more hardcore players out there. Sargon will also be getting brand-new outfits when this first update drops. Then come spring 2024, a staple of the genre, the boss rush mode will be added, as well as additional Sargon outfits. Next in summer 2024, the divine trials will be added, which are being labeled as brand new traversal, combat, and puzzle challenges. Alongside that, there will be brand new amulets and Sargon outfits as well with this portion of the update. All of these previously mentioned content drops will be free for players, but leading us into late 2024 that changes. The final stage of the roadmap gives us our first announcement of the DLC expansion coming to Prince Of Persia The Lost Crown, no other details were given but the excitement is already brewing. More information will be released in due time.
