Static Dress Created Their Own Video Game

Static Dress, a band with a unique sound and electrifying performances, just finished a sold-out arena tour where they captivated audiences with their raw energy and infectious melodies.

They also decided to release a video game to expand the universe of their album Rouge Carpet Disaster. Titled The Video Game, it was launched on March 7. Interestingly, the game was exclusively released on Game Boy Color, which is an unusual choice considering the system was discontinued in September of 2003.

As reported by Kerrang, the upcoming game is poised to be a fully immersive experience, promising players an opportunity to delve deeply into the intricacies of the visually stunning universe crafted by the band for their highly-praised debut album.

Set to offer an expansive and multifaceted storyline, the game aims to captivate players with its rich narrative tapestry, transporting them into a world where every pixel pulsates with meaning and significance. Central to the gaming experience is the complete 8-bit recreation of the album itself, serving as both a backdrop and a guiding force as players traverse through the game’s landscape. From the haunting melodies that echo in the background to the meticulously designed environments that pay homage to the album’s thematic elements, every aspect of the game is meticulously crafted to evoke a sense of immersion and wonder.

As players embark on their journey, they will encounter a myriad of challenges, from cunning enemies to perplexing puzzles, all woven seamlessly into the fabric of the album’s timeline. While details about specific gameplay mechanics remain scarce, anticipation runs high as Olli Appleyard the singer of the band Static Dress eagerly awaits fans to uncover the secrets that lie within this ambitious project.

Appleyard enthusiastically took to Twitter, sharing his palpable excitement with his followers as he announced the news. He declared that he was unveiling a project three years in the making, showcasing an impressive accomplishment.
