Prime Gaming Lineup Capitalizes On Lord Of The Rings Season 2 And Borderlands Hype

Prime Gaming has a rather robust list of games joining its ranks for September. With the new season of Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power coming to Prime Video, a whole host of Middle Earth adventures are coming to Amazon’s gaming service. Borderlands has also been having both ups and downs recently with the Borderlands movie receiving poor reception and Borderlands 4’s announcement bringing a wave of hype. Prime Gaming will also be adding a few Borderlands titles throughout the month as well.

Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor Game of the Year Edition is probably the biggest name being added to the Prime Gaming roster. It is currently available to be played with a GOG code. Shadows of Mordor, originally published in 2014, has players take on the role of human ranger, Talion, from Gondor who bonds with a mysterious wraith, and sets out to avenge the death of their loved ones. It’s not the heroic odyssey of The Lord of the Rings, or the fantastic adventures of The Hobbit, but a much darker narrative centered on ideas of loss and revenge. The game won Game of the Year at 17th Game Developer Awards.

For the Borderlands series, Borderlands 2 is the only main series game addition with Tales of the Borderlands and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel serving as spin off titles. Of these titles, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel are currently available through the Epic Games Store. Tales of the Borderlands will be available starting September 12th, next Thursday.

While those might be the biggest names of the bunch this month, it’s a pretty stacked lineup being released over the course of the month.
