Xbox Game Studios iam8bit and Rare have teamed up to commemorate ’90s beat-em-up brawler classic Battletoads, with these new collectibles! The limited-edition Battletoads NES Legacy Cartridge Collection is the latest addition to iam8bit’s Legacy Cartridge Collection. Battletoads: Smash Hits Vinyl Soundtrack is a double-disc jam-packed with all the legendary David Wise tunes from the first game, and a heavier medal-drenched score from David Housden featured in the games newest release on Xbox One.
The cartridge collection will ship late in the third quarter of 2020 and is priced at $99.99. The vinyl set will arrive by the end of the year in quarter 4, with a price tag of $42.99. Those wishing to preorder these collectibles can do so from the iam8bit website and will receive their purchase upon its release. 500 buyers will be selected at random to receive a “Rash’s Toadally Rad Adventure” cassette tape with their order. This sonic journey will chronicle Rash’s turbulent arc throughout the Battletoads games.
For the Limited Edition Battletoads NES Legacy Cartridge Collection, comes with a brand new playable cartridge, a custom dust cover, with some retro pack-in surprises and more! The vinyl soundtrack is also features in this collection,but can also be purchased separately. Those who buy the Pimple Pink Vinyl will of course receive the double disc soundtrack, as well as a digital download option, and an entry into the Rash’s Toadally Rad Adventure cassette giveaway.
