Preorder DLC Images Leaked For Resident Evil 7

Resident Evil 7 announced that its preorder DLC will contain access to the game’s hardest difficulty, as well as an item pack that comes with it. While the contents of the bag have not been confirmed, a Swedish detailer called Discshop has leaked the images of the items in the back. While leaks must be taken with a grain of salt as they are not official releases, it’s still possible that the leak is true.

Nothing has been denied nor confirmed as of now, but the recovery set and the handgun set are already consistent with the previous Resident Evil 7 games. It is believed that the Chem Fluid Set has some sort of healing item with it and the Burner Set seems to go together with the flamethrower weapon that was previously leaked.

All of the images contain one coin of different colors and sizes. It is unknown if the coins are used as a form of currency in the game or if it is similar to the dummy figure which Capcom has hinted as having a purpose.

The Recovery Set was sent down via Capcom to gamers who subscribed to a Resident Evil newsletter, which also included the gold coin in the image.

Resident Evil 7 is set to release for the PS4, Xbox One and PC on January 24, 2017. Players who preorder the $80 deluxe version will receive the game, plus two pieces of additional content. The first content addition is the inclusion of four short side stories and the second content addition is an extra episode to the main game.

At E3 2016, producer Masachika Kawata talked about what the game features.

There will be combat. There will be gunplay. There will be a renewed focus on survival, something the series has largely lacked since its shift to third-person action with Resident Evil 4.

Kawata told GameSpot that the overarching goal of the game isn’t to unite the fans of the original trilogy and the fans of the newer trilogy but bring together those who want a new experience while playing a horror game.

Bryan Ingram: My name is Bryan. I just graduated from High Point University with a degree in Journalism. I'm 25 and writing has always been a part of my life. I'm a big Pokémon fan, so I'l spend a lot of my time playing that. Other than that, I love sports, particularly the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
