Developer Illfonic has announced that they are running a trial for its upcoming multiplayer shooter, Predator: Hunting Grounds. The trial is set to begin on March 27th and run through March 29th and will be open to Epic Games Store players and PS Plus members on PlayStation 4.
The trial will be available to download on March 27th at 5 PM PT/ 8 PM ET/ 4 PM GMT. Players will be able to play by themselves as the Predator, or team up as a part of human survivors in Fireteam.
Late last year, Illfonic revealed some details about the choice of Predator classes that people will be able to access in Hunting Grounds, along with a list of deadly weapons that come with each class. Illfonic promises to include plenty of suspense with the Predator attacks, aiming to capture the feel that made the original movie (made in 1987) a hit.
A key part of playing as the Fireteam is to figure out how you are going to make it out of the jungle alive. A big part of the game is deciding if your newly banded together team will actually escape, or turn the tables on the Predator and hunt him down instead. Other aspects of the game involve a choice to divide and conquer and even using the environment and AI enemies to your advantage. As told on the Playstation Website
Who doesn’t love a challenge? We love that when you play as the Fireteam it really captures that feeling of power, of being the best of the best. You have access to a state-of-the art arsenal and gear that lets you feel like you can take down an army, and you will. Fireteam players have a mission to accomplish and must face lots of AI opponents PLUS another player hunting them as the Predator.
Predator: Hunting Grounds is set to release on April 24th for Playstation and PC.
