POP MART’s First Mobile Game Dream Home

POP MART has revealed their first self-developed mobile game Dream Home. The Hong Kong based toy retailer introduced Dream Home through promotional video that showcased what potential players can expect to see in terms of theme.

Players are transported into a colorful, pastel world where they will renovate an old abandoned sky home called the Cloud Whale Island. Dream Home features many notable faces from POP MART’s popular intellectual properties as animated 3D characters with special abilities and dispositions that offer a unique gaming experience. In fact, players have the option of entering into cloud raising baby mode where they can grow and nurture their own companions. As players explore further, they will discover other floating islands and unveil secrets that tell an intriguing story about the world they where transported to and the extraordinary personalities that call these islands home. In addition to exploration and bonding with characters, players can engage in party games hosted on these islands to earn rewards.

Social interactions are at the heart of the Dream Home‘s gameplay with a strong emphssis on connecting with the characters inside the game to progress. Players are encouraged to engage in social activities with in-game characters and fellow players as they have the chance to visit their islands. Dream Home even allows players to exchange materials with other players from other islands such as fish, plants, decorations, and other items.

POP MART developed this mobile game as a way to curate anticipation and hype for the toy retailer’s upcoming space at the Happy Valley Amusement Park in Beijing. POP MART established POP MART Paradise Management Incorporated in August of 2021 and an independent park management company in January of 2022 all within Beijing before moving forward with Happy Valley Beijing’s partnership. This allowed POP MART to create an immersive experience within the park being one of China’s biggest toy retailers.

They hope that Dream Home will make the players that enjoy their game potential amusement park visitors in the future. In fact, the 2022 China Game Industry Report states that the number of game users in China reached 664 million in 2022, and all of these figures could be considered potential customers for the game and amusement park model.

Established in 2010, POP MART has always focused on consumer access, fashion culture promotion, global artist discovery, and intellect property incubation. Now with the release of their first mobile game, POP MART wished for Dream Home to expand and strengthen their influence in their already robust marketing that caters to the imaginations of its players.
