Pokémon Wonder Theme Park Unveiled

Have you ever dreamed of having your very own Pokémon journey? Unfortunately, scientists have yet to bring Pokémon to life, but until then, Pokémon Wonder is the closest fans have ever gotten to fully immersing into the fantastical world of Pokémon. This brand new amusement park is made up of 48,000-square feet of forest just behind Tokyo’s largest amusement park, Yomiuriland and is filled to the brim with Pokémon to search for in the wild. This forest has been untouched for nearly twenty years, making it the perfect location to bring the world of Pokémon to life.

Kotaku reports that guests will undertake the role of Pokémon researchers tasked with finding out what ‘mons inhabit the vast woods. As researchers, you’ll need to hunt down the creatures by looking in every nook and cranny, and hopefully develop a deeper appreciation for the beauty of nature in the process.

These Pokémon aren’t quite how fans will remember them, though. In order to blend in with their environment, these ‘mons are made of craftwork materials and hidden all across the forest, making finding them just as fun as checking them out. There are fifty of the little scamps to spot on either of the two courses: a cobblestone wall to walk along and a bamboo forest to explore. Pokémon will be spread throughout both, so keep a close eye out if you want to catch ’em all!

It’s easy to see why fans are so excited to sign up for their very own Pokémon adventure. Ever since its’ inception, Pokémon has been a franchise built around people exploring and enjoying all the wonders of the natural world, and this brand new theme park is the perfect way to express that.

Pokémon Wonder opens Saturday, July 17th and will be open until April 3rd, 2022.
