Pokémon Sleep is a mobile game that encourages healthy sleeping habits among its players. It was released on July 17, 2023, developed by Select Button, and published by The Pokémon Company. The game found its audience after launching worldwide on both iOS and Android platforms, reaching players through its unique integration of sleep-tracking mechanics and gameplay.
In Pokémon Sleep, the goal is to progress the game through tracking when you sleep with a phone or a Pokémon GO Plus+ device. The game will monitor your sleep patterns, and different Pokémon will visit your camp in the morning depending on the results it records. The type of Pokémon you attract will match your sleep style, promoting healthier sleep habits and overall attentiveness.
Bonuses and events arise periodically in Pokémon Sleep. This October, the game has revealed a special Halloween specific event full of new rewards and surprises. On October 18, Pokémon Sleep announced the event through a post on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that players might run into a Halloween themed Pikachu, along with receiving two times the usual number of candies that are typically earned from sleep research. More information on the event is provided with a link.

The event’s outline highlights specific perks related to the Halloween event. Ghost-type Pokémon are apparently more likely to appear, which fits right in with Hall0ween’s spooky spirit! Ghost-type Pokémon will also carry specific benefits with them, such as bringing players one extra ingredient each time they do so, and having 1.5 times the regular chance of their main skill being triggered if they are a helper Pokémon,
Specific Pokémon will also be much easier to encounter during the event, including Mimikyu and a special Halloween themed Pikachu, who wears a festive purple hat. Researchers have the chance to gain either three times or two times the usual number of candies for the first sleep research of that day, depending on the specific date.
The event will last from October 28 to November 4, giving players plenty of time to anticipate and prepare for the Halloween event. The game is currently free to play on the App Store and Google Play Store, with in-app-app purchases available to anyone interested.
