Pokemon Presents February 2025: Pokemon Champions, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, & More

Pokémon fans, rejoice! Pokémon Day is here and the Pokémon Company’s latest Pokémon Presents has been released. The Pokémon Company has announced updates for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, the Pokémon Trading Card GamePokémon ConciergePokémon GOPokémon Masters EXPokémon UNITEPokémon Sleep, and Pokémon Café ReMix. The Pokémon Company also revealed the first look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A and announced new title focused on battling called Pokémon Champions

Pokémon Champions brings everything that players love about Pokémon battles into one place. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch and mobile and will feature familiar mechanics such as Pokémon types, abilities, and moves. The big mechanic with Champions is the ability to bring in Pokémon from Pokémon HOME that players used in previous games and team up with them in Champions.

The first look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A reveals that the game is set in Lumiose City, where a urban redevelopment plan is underway that aims to bring both people and Pokémon together. The new footage showcases some of the people players will meet, the game’s first partner Pokémon, Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile, a more active combat system, and a look at Mega Evolution.

In Pokémon: Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, a collection of in-game events will be available for both versions. There are mass outbreaks of red-, green-, and blue-colored Pokémon, with an increased likelihood of encountering Shiny Pokémon. The next few weeks will also see a series of Tera Raid Battles against a mighty Meowscarada, Skeledirge, and Quaquaval.

The Pokémon Company has announced that a new themed booster pack, Triumphant Light, is making its way to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket tomorow, February 28, 2025. There are also a couple in-game events and special missions that players can complete to earn rewards. The Genetic Apex expansion will return with booster packs that are guaranteed to include at least one card of ◆◆◆◆ rarity or higher. Ranked Matches will make its way to the game at the end of March.

The original  Pokémon Trading Card Game will be getting Mega Evolution cards this year.

The PoPokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global event, which can be played anywhere, is set to kick off on March 1. The Legendary Pokémon Black Kyurem and White Kyurem will appear in Raid Battles and elsewhere. Players will also have a chance to encounter Victini and Shiny Meloetta. The next season begins on March 4 which features the arrival of Kubfu and Urshifu.

May (Champion) & Shiny Primal Kyogre and Brendan (Champion) & Shiny Primal Groudon are coming to Pokémon Masters EX. To celebrate the game’s 5.5 year celebration, players can log in to receive 3,000 gems.

Suicune, Alolan Raichu, and Alcremie are making their way to Pokémon UNITEPlayers will able to be to batlle in the memorable Remoat Stadium, which has returned to the game for a limited time. There is also a new type of Unite battle called First to 500 where the goal is to be the first to score 500 points. Aeos technology grants players special effects each time they score a certain number of points.

Cresselia and Darkrai are coming to an upcoming event in Pokemon Sleep.

Pokémon Café ReMix will be getting a new menu item, Appletun Fruitilicious Jelly Soda. The game will also be gettig a special event where players can choose from either Fapple or Appletun to join the staff. Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly will gradually become available in special outfit packs. If players log in, Pikachu in its sweets outfit will join the staff. Logging in for three days, Eevee in its sweets outfit will join.

The Pokémon Company announced that video games in the Pokémon series will now be localized in Latin American Spanish.
