During today’s Pokémon Presents it was announced that Nintendo Switch Online is getting its very first retro Pokémon game. The game is an RPG adaptation of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This game is ideal for players who want to relive ’90’s nostalgia without owning a Gameboy Color. Additionally, The game is perfect for players who do not want to invest any time or money by buying the actual cards themselves. It’s also perfect for players who do not want to spend any time messing around with it via the app for smartphones.
Just like Pokémon Blue and Red, the Pokémon Trading Card Game allows you to pick one of the three-starter Pokémon decks as you travel around the map challenging club masters.
As for Pokémon Violet and Scarlet, a two-part expansion was announced. The first half begins on September 13 with the release of The Teal Mask and the second half kicks-off during this upcoming winter with the release of The Indigo Disc.

Continually, the DLC will see the release of over 200 Pokémon which were previously not featured in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. In the Teal Mask, players will encounter Pokémon species that aren’t found in Paldea, as well as new encounters with NPCs, like a Pokémon photographer. Players will even obtain a selfie stick to take pictures of trainers and Pokémon. In the Indigo Disc, players will travel to Blueberry Academy, a mostly underwater school that houses four artificial biomes filled with a vast array of Pokémon. Blueberry academy will also feature a tough new Elite four.
Mewtwo and Mew were also featured in today’s Pokémon Presents and will be available for all players via the event called “Get Mew and Mewtwo.” Trainers will battle Mewtwo in order to add him to their inventory and Mew will be available by entering a password in the mystery gift menu.
