A brand new look for the PlayStation 5 (PS5) was revealed by the Insomniac team at it’s San Diego Comic-Con panel. In a PlayStation blog post, Senior VP Of Brand, Product & Services Marketing Andrea Perez, gave a more indepth look into the designs the designers that made them.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle features custom PS5 console cover designs and matching DualSense wireless controller. According to Perez the designs were based on the threat of the Venom symbiote in Spider-Man 2 and its “…capacity for transformation and power…”

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle includes a limited edition PS5 console, a limited edition DualSense wireless controller, and a voucher for a digital copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Standard Edition. The voucher can be redeemed when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releases on October 20, offering players the same items available to those who pre-ordered Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Players can unlock the Arachknight Suit for Peter with 3 additional color variants, an early unlock Shadow Spider Suit for Miles with 3 additional color variants, an early unlock Web Grabber gadget, and 3 skill points.
Both PS5 and DuelSense controller designs have a symbiote takeover design, showing Venom’s black tendrils rapidly creeping over the remaining bright red color. The PS5 design has the iconic white Spider-Man icon from Insomniac’s Advanced Suit on display. The DualSense controller designs shows you can see a larger portion of the controller taken over by the symbiote design.
Fans that already own a PS5 console can purchase the PS5 Console Covers – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition, PS5 Digital Edition Console Covers – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition, and DualSense Wireless Controller – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition separately.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle, it’s separate console covers and DuelSense controller releases on September 1. Pre-orders will begin on July 28. Additionally, players in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Austria, Portugal can get the limited edition design directly from PlayStation.
