As we continue the anticipation towards the announcement of the PlayStation 5 Pro, it seems that Sony is well on their way on improving their current hardware. Last year in November Sony released the slim version of the PS5 to much praise and as rumors point to this year being the release of the Pro version fans are eagerly awaiting any more news on the rumored powerful console. In regards to Sony looking for improvements, there was recently a listing on a Canadian Best Buy website about a Dualsense version 2 controller, due to the specificity of the products detailing its very likely not a false alarm. The Best Buy website, which has since then taken down the listing, details the DualSense v2 as having a 12 hour battery life which is already impressive enough as the regular DualSense has a 6-hour battery life.
The product was also mentioned to bring its own personal charging station with easy click on charging. While the controller looks fairly similar dimension wise it will have far more durability than its predecessor. It’s also priced at $89.99 but it is unclear if this is meant to be in Canadian dollars or USD. If it is USD then it would be an additional $20 dollars from the current duelsense version. One thing that is not addressed but people hope is that the controller is less susceptible to stick drift as one of the major problems with the current DualSense is that its durability towards stick drift is terrible.
The full description for the DualSense version 2 is as follows.
“Take the gaming action into your own hands when you play with the PlayStation 5 V2 DualSense wireless controller. With dynamic triggers, a built-in microphone and so much more, this gaming controller offers a truly immersive experience. The iconic comfortable design lets you play for hours and hours.”
