Gamers have come together in large numbers with a petition to bring GTA V to their PCs.
Utilizing a website called Change.Org, the petition recently surpassed 500,000 signatures; an enormous number and a number the website has not seen before. A representative from Change.org stated that it was the largest gaming petition to ever be launched through the site. It just goes to show the lengths people are willing to go for Rockstar’s new game.
As for the progress made from the petition? Dan Houser, Rockstar’s Co-founder, simply stated that the potential for a PC version was “up for consideration.” However, that was last November and the company hasn’t made any moves or announcements recently.
The petition states that it’s a “big shame” that Rockstar hasn’t announced anything for the PC yet. GTA IV’s PC version came eight months after the initial console release, but there were at least a few announcements that the game would be available to PC users. As of now, the company has been silent.
GTA V released last week to a staggering $800 million dollars on launch day alone. The size of the current petition goes to show just how much money the game has left to make.
