Developer Sunny Peak and publisher Headup games will release Symphonia on December 5. According to IGN the platformer is set to release on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, as well as PC.
Symphonia is a platform style game set in the world of Symphonia. In the game’s setting the world has fallen into silence. You will play as Philemon, a violinist in search of an orchestra. Gematsu shares that the game will feature a unique orchestral soundtrack, scored by Composer Oliver Esman and his team.
The trailer begins with a white haired character and a masked Philemon staring at a destroyed music room. The auditorium is in shambles. A flashback plays to when Philemon obtained the mask. The mask dances in flames until he is engulfed and transformed into a violinist. Philemon makes his way across the dilapidated kingdom bouncing off objects, walls and wires like a spring. The character moves into an outdoor environment and glides to a mechanical city, platforming from one swinging object to another. A bird-like character raises a plant to life with the tune of their flute. A frog controls the devices in the building using his horned instrument. A lizard can be seen playing the cello on a clock tower. Philemon plays his violin in the rustic cathedral, and outside in the night. Philemon dashes across massive piano keys on the floor. He can be seen slipping down a slide in the mechanical city and air dashing. Philemon makes a predetermined launch from one platform to another in a mechanical forest at night, he runs in a auto-scrolling segment whilst being chased by a massive garbage chute and glides up a torrent using a piece of his cloth. Philemon can be seen controlling the heart of a mechanism and conducting an orchestra as the trailer ends.
