Undungeon is a pixel, action-RPG game where your goal is to restore the Earth’s multiple dimensions after the Great Shift, a disastrous event where the multidimensional versions of Earth unexpectedly came together and obliterated each other. The game was released on Nov. 18, 2021, for the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S systems. Undungeon was developed by Laughing Machines and published by tinyBuild.
You play as a Herald, a God-created hero and member of the secret space organization called Herald’s Undercover Bay, also known as H.U.B. As a member of H.U.B., your mission is to reconstruct the Earth’s dimensions, fix the rip within the fabric of space and time, and find out who or what caused the Great Shift. You will need to explore the massive open world to activate seven interdimensional piers to accomplish your goal. Throughout your journey, you will encounter the dimension keepers who oversee each pier, where you will need to fight them to win their consent to activate the piers. You will also encounter enemies that will do anything to prevent you from fulfilling your goal. To help you with your battles, you can use unique characters that will join your alliance on the battlefield and trade items with you.
There are many fun things to do in Undungeon, even when you are not fighting enemies. You can customize your Herald with a unique build that supports your playstyle, where you can pick and choose various organs to include in your Herald’s body to enhance your combat and increase your passive skills. Using the game’s crafting system, you can create organs, weapons, gear, and different items. You can also relax and recover at the H.U.B. base located in between dimensions when you want a break from fighting. Additionally, if you want to learn more about the story’s lore, the game includes a glossary that will fill out as the game progresses, according to a dev blog on Undungeon’s official website.
You can buy Undungeon for the original price of $19.99 on Steam, the Microsoft Store, Epic Games, and GOG. The game is currently on sale for $17.99 on Steam, Epic Games, and GOG.
