Phantom Blade Zero Launch Trailer and PS5 Physical Editions Launch in 2027

It’s no secret that physical media is being phased out, especially with Sony saying it will stop supporting it in 2028. And with the current state of gaming, gamers can expect not to own their games, which is awful. But there are still studios pushing for physical releases, and one of them is S-GAME, which dropped its Phantom Blade Zero launch trailer just before the October 29th digital release. At the end of the trailer, they announced that the game will receive physical editions on PlayStation 5 in 2027. Phantom Blade Zero launches October 29th digitally on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and will be available physically on PlayStation 5 in 2027.

Phantom Blade Zero is a fusion of classic Wuxia storytelling and exhilarating action, powered by Unreal Engine 5, from S-GAME. The game is officially set to launch on October 29th digitally for PS5 and PC. They recently dropped their launch trailer, which shows in-game cinematic and combat footage. The gameplay itself looks amazing, a blend of souls-like and action combat; the game looks similar to Black Myth Wukong, but it’s its own with its different weapons like swords, spears, and hand-to-hand combat. You can power up your attacks with different elements such as fire and poison. The game itself looks fantastic, as it’s built in Unreal 5, and the graphics, world, and characters look gorgeous. We also got to see the different bosses you can fight, including humans and other monsters. Some story elements were dropped as you fight to save your soul and look to be protecting a baby. And at the end, we get the announcement that three physical editions will be available for PlayStation 5 in 2027.

Phantom Blade Zero is gearing up to be one of the biggest launches of the year thanks to its visuals, combat, and story; it will easily be a contender for Game of the Year. The game will also feature three physical editions, which is great, especially with the current state of gaming and companies trying to phase them out; it’s awesome to see gaming studios keeping it alive, as it’s important for consumers. Phantom Blade Zero launches October 29th digitally on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and will be available physically on PlayStation 5 in 2027.

Jorge Peredo: Growing up, I've always been fascinated by storytelling, whether through reading, watching, or playing video games. Having been exposed to storytelling for so long, I have been influenced, and through that influence, I seek to write and create my own stories that others can enjoy and that I can be proud of.
