Persona 5 North American Release Date

Atlus has announced a North American release date for the latest installment in the incredibly popular Persona franchise. The long awaited progression in the beloved series, Persona 5 will be released February 14th in North America for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Persona 5 will first be available in Japan, where it will be released September of 2016, meaning North American fans of the series will have to try their hardest to avoid spoilers for about 5 months.

Persona 5 is already available for preorder. The versions of the game for PlayStation 4 in preorder are available in two versions, the “SteelBook Launch Edition” and the “Take Your Heart” premium edition. The “SteelBook Launch Edition” is only available via pre order while supplies last and is available for 59.99 USD. The “SteelBook” is a collectible metallic protective cover on the game showing off character designs and artwork on the box. The “Take Your Heart” edition of the game will include the following: Soundtrack on CD, with work by world renowned video game composer, Shoji Meguro who has been the composer for the series since the first Persona game. Morgana Plush, 64-page Hardcover Art Book, SteelBook with the game, Schoolbag, Collector’s Box. This version of Persona 5 can be purchased for 89.99 USD.

“Take Your Heart” Premium Edition

For those unaware of what the Persona series is, Atlus sums the series up as this “Persona is an RPG series set in cities and high schools in modern day Japan. It focuses on the growth of adolescents who, upon the awakening of their “Persona” abilities, overcome various trials together.” The game has gone through various iterations, jumping across genres over the years. The genres that the Megami Tensei spin off has delved into include: visual novel, fighint game, and even rhythm game.
