In a now-deleted post, acclaimed voice actor Yuri Lowenthal has confirmed the long-rumored Persona 4 Remake, just days ahead of a major Xbox event scheduled to be livestreamed on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Lowenthal expressed disappointment over not being invited back for the role in the remake, implying its development.
The speculation surrounding Persona 4 Remake traces back to a significant leak from 2021 involving Nvidia’s GeForce Now service. In September of that year, developer Ighor July uncovered a hidden database within GeForce Now, revealing a list of unannounced and unreleased games. While Persona 4 Remake wasn’t explicitly named, the leak’s accuracy in predicting future releases led fans to speculate about other potential projects, including a remake of Persona 4. Nvidia later confirmed the leak’s authenticity but clarified that the listed games were “speculative” and used for internal testing purposes.
Over time, many titles from the leak were officially announced or released, lending credibility to the initial list. This bolstered fan theories about a Persona 4 Remake, especially following the success of Persona 3 Reload in 2024.
For those asking, I have not been asked to reprise my role as Chie Satonaka in the Persona 4 remake.
RIP 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I am blessed to have recorded as many Persona 4 games as I did playing her.

Following Yuri Lowenthal’s revelation, two more voice actors have stepped forward to say they were not invited to reprise their roles in the upcoming Persona 4 Remake. Erin Fitzgerald, the voice of Chie Satonaka in Persona 4 Golden, and Amanda Winn-Lee, who portrayed Yukiko Amagi in the original Persona 4, both took to social media to confirm their absence from the remake’s cast.
