PAX Aus Will Host EB Expo at PAX Aus 2018

Every year, PAX makes stops around the world to bring gamers, the culture, and the latest and hottest gaming technologies together, and Australia is no exception. This year at PAX Aus in Melbourne, EB Expo and PAX Aus will be teaming up together to bring the most jam-packed event at PAX Aus 2018.

EB Expo is an event hosted by EB Games Australia that brings game publishers, hands-on demos for upcoming games, developer presentations, and even a pop-up EB Games store. At PAX Aus 2018, there will be a dedicated area just for EB Expo, complete with everything that the event has been known for. Over 180 companies will be present, and more than 150 hours of on-stage content are now planned for the stacked gaming weekend. There will also be over 120 panels, live concerts, esports stages, and more that will be spread across six theaters. The event will also be held during Creative Victoria’s Melbourne International Games Week, an entire week dedicated to celebrating the gaming industry, and PAX Aus will be an extension of the week-long event.

“PAX Aus grows every year, and in 2018, EB Expo is the red mushroom to our Italian plumber,” said Jono Whyman, Event Manager of PAX Aus, in a press release. “We’re incredibly excited to partner with EB Games to level up PAX Aus and continue to put on the biggest, best gaming show for our die-hard fans and new members of the PAX family.”

EB Games Event Director, Debra McGrath, also shared her thoughts on the event collaboration:

When we created the EB Expo in 2011, our aim was to share our love of video games with as many people as possible. Our vision for the future is to create a world-class event that becomes a landmark on the global gaming calendar. After an exhaustive search we have found a kindred spirit in the awesome team at PAX Australia, who share our vision. Together, with the full support of the Australian publisher community, the IGEA and Creative Victoria, we are committed to creating an event that gives Australians the experience they deserve.

PAX Aus will run from October 26 – 28 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, and registrations will soon open up as well.
