PARAGON: THE OVERPRIME is receiving new content that adds another hero, an event mode, gameplay improvements, and much more. This update also includes a new skin for both the new hero, Adele, and a fan favorite, Fey.
The original hero is Adele who is a tank following the introduction of Maco and Zena. Adele is a knight that stands at the forefront of allied teams. She fights with a sword and shield which allows her to switch between defensive and offensive if the situation calls for it. Adele has a reputation of being a ruthless warrior that craves for a good battle despite her adorable appearance and her demeanor has earned her a spot amongst the Ventus mercenary group.
Her skills mainly focus on her being able to jump being two modes: damage and tank. In addition, Adele has a range of abilities good for handling crowd control and mark enemies. Adele’s attack “It’ll Be Over Soon” allows her to swing her sword at selected enemies. Another move she has is “It’s Supposed To Hurt” causes Adele to expand her Rose Shield which increases her physical and magical defense while activating a damage-reflecting buff. However, this move lowers her movement speed and only basic attacks can be used. Furthermore, Adele has a skill called “Let Me Hold You” which causes her composite sword to extend at a target and mark them with a rose. Using the skill twice on the same enemies will make the knight charge and root the enemy. Another skill called “Your Beautiful Scent” allows Adele to harm enemies by using her sword like a whip and swing it down for additional damage. Finally, when she uses her final skill “Where You Belong” Adele combines her shield and composite sword, then slams the ground to summon a poisonous rose pile that inflicts a great deal of damage and decreases movement speed.
Nextly, PARAGON: THE OVERPRIME adds a new five-on-five matchmaking mode called Red Moon. Red Moon has an emphasis on team battles as heroes are randomly selected for players to use per battle. Players do have the option to reroll for another hero once per battle if they choose to do so. There is Health and Mana restored at specific locations for players to use. Items can only be purchased before the battle starts and immediately after respawning, but not by returning to base during battles. The objective of Red Moon is to destroy the enemy’s core through one narrow lane. This creates easily chaotic battles that test players’ reflexes and decision making in order to obtain victory. Moreover, the update added Hot Time Events that will be hosted to encourage participation as daily challenges: during these events, players will receive double experience and Renar from matches.
The Competitive Play Mode has been adjusted to accommodate players based on common feedback. Competitive regions have been divided into Asia, Europe, and North America to improve regional play and have a consistent competitive ladder. Rebalancing and battlefield variety has been included to improve gameplay while making changes to the visual and interface of PARAGON: THE OVERPRIME. Lastly, branded sites have been reworked with detailed gameplay information and the news section has been tweaked to keep players up-to-date without having to leave the game.
