Blizzard Entertainment has been on a roll with releasing new collaborations with different companies and games as of late. Just today, they released a collaboration trailer for Overwatch 2 and Street Fighter 6. The official collaboration starts on May 20th where the skins will be featured in the Overwatch shop for players to purchase, and there will be eight new skins from the collaboration– though prices have yet to be announced for the bundle and the individual skins.
According to the YouTube description, “Take your fighting skills to the next level when the legendary characters from Street Fighter 6 square off in Overwatch 2. Master their iconic moves and discover the martial artist in you.”
The animated cinematic trailer showed the pixelated version and animated version of the new skins that will be coming out on May 20th on the map King’s Row. The first skin that was previewed was Juno who will be representing Chun Li, Widowmaker who will be representing Cammy, Hanzo who will be representing Ryu, Kiriko who will be representing Juru, Solider 76 who represents Guile, Sigma who will be representing M. Bison, Winston who will be representing Blanka, and Zenyatta who will be representing Dhalsim.
At the end of the trailer, players can get a glimpse of the Hanzo Ryu skin in the game, and it seems like Hanzo will be receiving an emote in the bundle as well. Other than the end of the trailer, players have yet to see what the skins will look like in the actual game. In addition to that, there will be more to the bundles such as possible highlight intros, more emotes, and more cosmetics for player’s profiles.
Blizzard Entertainment’s latest collaboration features more skins compared to the last collaboration with Gundam Wing, which only featured four of the heroes receiving skins such as Mercy, Reaper, Ramattra, and Solider 76.
