Team17 and Ghost Town Games announced today that Overcooked! All You Can Eat will be coming to previous generation consoles next month. First released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S last year Overcooked! All You Can Eat is a remaster of all the content of both Overcooked, Overcooked 2, and the DLC for both, with up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. The game includes seven new levels and three new chefs in addition to the over two hundred levels featured in both original games. New achievements and trophies for players to unlock have also been added.
The original Overcooked content has been rebuilt in the Overcooked 2 engine to allow for up to four players to tackle its levels together online. There are also plans for a new cross-play update to be released that would allow for players to play with friends on any platform.
For newcomers, Overcooked and Overcooked 2 are cooperative party games where you and up to four friends work together to complete orders in a series of wacky, and high-stress kitchens. Quick thinking and constant communication between players are essential for achieving a high score and keeping the kitchen from bursting into flames. The games are great for those who enjoy working as a team, but also do not mind screaming at their friends when things inevitably go wrong,
Overcooked! All You Can Eat includes a new assist mode to give players options to make gameplay easier, such as increasing level times or turning off order expiration. In addition, the game features new accessibility options such as dyslexic friendly text, and color blindness options.
Overcooked! All You Can Eat will release March 23 for $40 USD on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The game is currently available for purchase both digitally and physically on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
