This year at the Summer Game Fest Showcase, Out of Words was announced as the next project from developers Kong Orange, WiredFly, and poet Morten Søndergaard; these groups have now partnered with Epic Games Publishing. The title is set to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Wishlisting is also available.
This is a co-op platformer with two players, where players assume the role of Kurt and Karla, exploring a handmade world. It’s a story about the first time they held hands, and how that moment collides with a surreal narrative finding your voice.
Kong Orange previously is also known for Felix the Reaper. WiredFly brings their stop-motion animation background to the project, handcrafting every model and movement. Søndergaard, a well-known poet and artist, is the originator of the concept. WIth a visually grounded art style and deep co-op play, Out of Words may land well with players come next year.
