Original Trilogy Has Most Content in Star Wars Battlefront II

Star Wars Battlefront II was one of the most talked about games from E3 this year. After the announcement of a fully-fledged, offline single-player campaign, fans have been eager to hear more about any new updates this game will have over the previous effort. Fans have been asking all sorts of questions on Twitter, and thanks to one fan’s pressing question, developers have shared a little more about the content that will be available at launch.

EA DICE’s Associate Design Director Dennis Brannvall was asked by fan whether or not the prequel and original trilogy eras would be presented equally in terms of content. Brannvall admitted that there would be more original trilogy content than the prequel or sequel eras for the game at launch, implying that future DLC will expand those eras’ content. He also added that the prequel and sequel eras would be about equal in terms of content.

However, its the wording Brannvall used that has some fans worried. Specifically, he said, “We didn’t want to throw away stuff from the first game, so OG will have the most…” Some fans have interpreted that as DICE recycling and reusing content from the first game to make up the bulk of the content. While it may be a more practical method of developing a sequel, and gives developers time to work on new aspects of the game such as the other trilogies and the new single-player campaign, some fans can’t help but feel that DICE is cutting corners.

Star Wars Battlefront II launches November 17th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
