One Piece World Seeker Release Date Revealed In New Trailer

2019 is shaping up to be a big year for anime games. With Jump Force and more releasing throughout the entirety of next year, it seems that another title is going to be added to that line-up. One Piece World Seeker, originally announced in 2017, has finally had a release date confirmed in a newly released trailer. For the uninitiated, the game is an open-world action adventure game telling a new story in the One Piece universe, similarly to One Piece: Unlimited World Red. It’s even developed by the same company, Ganbarion, who has been developing One Piece games since 2001. To quickly give a synopsis of what One Piece is for those who have no idea, Monkey D. Luffy is on an odyssey to find the legendary treasure One Piece and become King of the Pirates.

The trailer shows off the gameplay of One Piece World Seeker and specifically what makes it unique. There is a special combat system that allows for a variety of ways to deal with enemies. By using different types of “Haki” to deal with different situations, players are able to actively strategize and decide how to best approach combat. Alongside the special combat system, there is a skill tree that allows players to invest skill points acquired through missions and enemies towards improving their abilities. Players are also able to spend time away from main missions and play side missions, in which “unexpected enemies” from the series will appear and various rewards can be reaped from defeating them.

The preorder rewards for One Piece World Seeker include 2 costumes as well as an additional mission. There is also a special bundle for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 which includes Luffy figurine and full scale devil fruit replica. You can visit the official page for the game here.

One Piece World Seeker will release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on March 15, 2019.
