FromSoftware is ramping up the challenge in Elden Ring: Nightreign with the announcement of four new Everdark Sovereigns set to arrive on July 31. These enhanced Nightlord variants: Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog, represent a new level of difficulty in the roguelike co-op spin-off.
Everdark Sovereigns debuted earlier this July with a rotating roster of enhanced bosses. Initially released in weekly cycles, players have already battled Gaping Jaw, Darkdrift Knight, Sentient Pest, and others to earn exclusive Sovereign Sigils used to claim rare relics.
The next wave, launching July 31st, will challenge players further. These new bosses feature upgraded attacks and tougher stats designed to test seasoned players. While FromSoftware hasn’t confirmed whether they’ll appear together or in rotation, past practice suggests a week-long event featuring two at a time.
Players are already speculating about the enhanced design of the Augur, traditionally one of the Nightlords with pacing-based mechanics, and whether its new form will match the ferocity of vaulted favorites like Gaping Jaw.
This update not only gives die-hard fans fresh content but also keeps Nightreign alive during the wait for future expansions. It follows a broader pattern: FromSoftware reintroduced earlier Sovereigns in July to maintain interest even after players had cleared the initial set, and now it is adding more content again with these four newcomers.
