The next Operator in Rainbow Six Siege has been teased. Her name is Nøkk, and for all intents and purposes, she is a ghost. Utilizing a gadget that turns her invisible, accompanied with a long history of successful, though largely unrecorded undercover missions, she will be a force to be reckoned with as a new Attacker to be released with the Operation Phantom Sight update. Details of the new update, as well as a full reveal of Nøkk and another Operator, will be revealed on May 19 during the Pro League Finals. You can check out the trailer for Nøkk below.
According to the Rainbow Six website, “Nøkk has been a mystery for quite some time. There is very little that anyone outside Rainbow knows about her.” She is a member of Jægerkorpset, the special operations branch of the Royal Danish Army. She dons a concealing netting over her head, meant to both obscure her face and make it harder for her enemies to see her. Nøkk’s gadget, called HEL, was perfected for absolute stealth by herself and fellow Operator Dokkaebi.
While the second Operator to be released in the next update is still unknown, Nøkk was ultimately leaked just few months ago. According to the leak, one of the new Operators would be “a Danish attacker [that] is invisible to cameras and has a sort of silent step similar to Cav.” So far, the leak has been spot on, and the validity of the leaker was only strengthened after their correct prediction of Gridlock and Mozzie a few months before that. According to the same leak, the next Defender is part of the Secret Service and will be able to see through flashbangs and smoke grenades.
Nøkk and the mystery Defender are set to be revealed, along with more details of the Operation Phantom Sight update May 19 at the Pro League Finals held in Italy. You can check out the full reveal then by going to the Rainbow Six Twitch page.
