Nissin Foods, the company behind Cup Noodles, is partnering with Square Enix for a set of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT live streams before the game releases on PlayStation 4 in January.
The monthly streams, titled Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Live Fights, start Sept. 23 at California’s 2017 SoCal Regionals. Before the fighting starts, viewers can participate in a Nissin-sponsored “warm-up,” where they can ask questions and get game-related information while stream commentators prepare their instant ramen. The second stream of the series will take place during New York Comic Con in October.

This is not the first time the noodle brand has collaborated with Square Enix. Final Fantasy XV had in-universe ads for Cup Noodles, a quest revolving around the ramen and the iconic noodles’ inclusion as a stat-boosting item. A later addition to the game was a downloadable helmet resembling a opened package of Cup Noodles.
In the real world, the two companies worked together and released a Final Fantasy line of Cup Noodles, a total of 15 different packages themed after a boss from each numbered series entry, ending with the most recent XV.
Wakey wakey Noct, we don't want people thinking you've got noodles for brains!

However, the game’s website mentions Noctis as “available at launch with the main roster” and not part of the core 22 character cast. Fans can see the series-spanning fighting game in action during streams on the game’s page or attend one of the two announced events. Information for the events is detailed below.
